Vice Rector Nguyen Van Dinh visits and works at the University of East London


On July 22, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice Rector of International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), visited and worked at the University of East London, United Kingdom.

During the meeting between the two institutions, Vice Rector Nguyen Van Dinh emphasized that International School always prioritizes strengthening and enhancing cooperation with the University of East London. Since 2005, the two institutions have trained many generations of students who are highly skilled, proficient in English, and capable of meeting the demands of the labor market. “We hope that after this meeting, the cooperative relationship between the two sides will be further strengthened, and more opportunities for cooperation will open up. We always look forward to the support and assistance from the University of East London,” expressed Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh.

Also at the meeting, the two institutions agreed on procedures for assigning lecturers, training faculty for the program, expediting the evaluation process, coordinating graduation schedules, and actively initiating the expansion of cooperation.

In 2005, International School and UEL signed a Memorandum of Understanding to acknowledge their cooperative relationship and to work towards signing a formal cooperation agreement to organize joint training programs selected and approved by both parties. To date, after nearly 20 years of educational collaboration, more than 200 students have graduated, and over 500 students are currently enrolled. Currently, the two sides are implementing the Bachelor of Accounting and Finance program, which is awarded by the University of East London.

The University of East London, established in 1892, is a public university located near the heart of London. The University of East London is one of the leading modern universities in the UK with high-quality education. The University’s programs are accredited by the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). Degrees from the University of East London have international value and are recognized by the Vietnam National Institute for Educational Testing and Accreditation under the Ministry of Education and Training.

The university has three campuses located in Stratford and Docklands. In 2013, the University partnered with Birkbeck, University of London, to establish a new campus called University Square Stratford. The university comprises eight schools and faculties. In 2024, the University of East London was ranked 851st in the QS World University Rankings.
