On December 7, 2023, Dr. Brad Fuster, Vice President in charge of academic affairs, and Assoc.Prof. Gary Giss, Director of International Programs in Southeast Asia at Keuka College, visited the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS). Representatives from the Offices of Research and Partnership Development, Academic Affairs, and the Faculty of Economics and Management participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, representatives from both institutions discussed plans to support students in the Dual Degree in Management program in applying for visas for the transfer semester in January 2024 in New York, USA. Dr. Bradley Fuster affirmed that Keuka College would provide the students of the Dual Degree in Management program with the utmost care in the upcoming transfer semester.
Subsequently, representatives from Keuka College met with the transferring students to share information before their departure to the U.S. The students expressed great excitement as they were about to experience the learning environment and culture of America. “This will be the most wonderful time in your student life; open your heart and make friends,” said Gary Giss, Director of International Programs in Southeast Asia. Students of the Dual Degree in Management program presented Dr. Bradley Fuster and Mr. Gary Giss with meaningful traditional Vietnamese gifts.
Founded in 1890, Keuka College is a private institution with a long history of undergraduate and graduate training. Keuka College comprises eight affiliated faculties with fully equipped, modern facilities, including lecture rooms, amphitheaters, laboratories, a library, sport facilities, an entertainment area, etc. The school has one main campus and two secondary campuses, all located in New York State, USA. Keuka College is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Higher Education in the Central States, USA (MSCHE), and recognized by the Vietnam Department of Educational Testing and Accreditation – Ministry of Education and Training. Keuka College specializes in training in Economics, Administration, Medical fields, and Law.
In 2009, the International School and Keuka College forged a collaborative training partnership. Currently, the two sides are implementing the Bachelor of Science in Management joint-training program with the degree awarded by Keuka College, and a dual-degree training program in Management, with the degree awarded by VNU and Keuka College.
In the coming time, VNU-IS and Keuka College will strengthen their cooperation in training, research, and other activities.
