International School’s English Language students participated in the Asian Cultural and Sports Exchange Student Forum

Three students, Nguyen Thu Ha, Nguyen Minh Ngoc, and Bui Pham Hai Anh, from the English Language program at International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, participated in the online Asian Cultural and Sports Exchange Student Forum on March 10th.

The forum was organized by the Global Educators Network Inc. in collaboration with Nippon Sport Science University, Japan, with the participation of 100 students from Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. The forum provided a platform for students to exchange and understand more about the unique cultures and sports of different Asian countries. Through the program, students had the opportunity to broaden their understanding of the cultures of other countries and introduce the culture of their own country.

Three first-year students from the English Language program attended the Asian Cultural and Sports Exchange Student Forum.

To ensure a comprehensive and detailed presentation, the international student group organized several discussions to develop the most suitable content. During the preparation process, they found a wealth of useful and interesting information about Vietnamese culture and sports, understanding the close connection between sports and culture, as well as the impact of sports as a part of cultural identity.

The English Language students introduced various Vietnamese sport events to their friends.

The Asian Cultural and Sports Exchange Student Forum truly left a positive impression on the students. They were delighted and proud to represent the International School and present Vietnamese culture. It was their first time participating in an international exchange event, so they couldn’t avoid feeling nervous, but the freshmen saw it as a challenge and motivation to strive for more in the future. Especially, they always received enthusiastic support and assistance from the faculty of the Applied Linguistics Department.

The presentation by students from International School indeed captured the attention of the attendees.

The first-year students of the English Language program are young individuals with a talent for languages, a passion for and interest in languages, an outgoing and open-minded nature, dynamism, enthusiasm, and a keen desire to learn. Despite the online learning environment in the past semester, English Language students have been very enthusiastic in communication and actively participated in school activities. They have eagerly sought to learn, absorb, and seize every opportunity to enhance their abilities.

The forum helped international students at the University understand more about the cultures of various Asian countries.

Congratulations to all English Language students. I wish you many more interesting and meaningful experiences during your time studying at the International School.
