Function – responsibility
- Planning and Coordinating Training Activities: Design and implement training initiatives aligned with the International School’s overarching strategy. This includes creating academic programs, developing detailed syllabi, authoring textbooks and learning/teaching resources, refining teaching methodologies, and establishing evaluation frameworks.
- Science, Technology, and Collaboration: Organize science and technology initiatives, foster international partnerships, and promote cooperation with industries and national universities/institutions. Encourage industry involvement in VNU-IS training programs to enhance practical relevance.
- Faculty Development and Quality Assurance: Build and enhance the capabilities of teaching staff and lecturer teams for education and research purposes. To align learner outcomes with labor market needs, ensure high training standards through self-assessment, quality monitoring, and evaluation processes.
Training activities
- Program Development: Formulate training programs, create comprehensive syllabi, and produce textbooks and teaching/learning materials.
- Oversight and Quality Control: Manage training programs’ content, quality, and progress by VNU-IS’s general schedule.
- Teaching and Assessment Innovation: Conduct research to advance teaching techniques, develop and apply evaluation methods, and assess learning outcomes effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Fulfill requirements to maintain training excellence, participate in self-evaluation, and conduct quality audits to ensure learners achieve intended outcomes.
- Industry and International Engagement: Partner with domestic and global industries to facilitate student visits, internships, and hands-on project experiences, as well as provide recruitment guidance. Strengthen academic exchanges with international faculty and partners to elevate teaching quality and align joint programs with global standards.
Science and technology activities
- Project Execution: Carry out science and technology projects according to established plans.
- Conferences and Events: Collaborate in organizing and participating in domestic and international scientific conferences.
- Research Development: Establish robust research groups focusing on key areas such as natural language processing, computational techniques and algorithms for IoT networks and cloud-based systems, quantum optics, machine learning, intelligent computing, and applications, as well as biomedical and health sciences.
- Scientific Engagement: Arrange seminars at school and faculty levels to foster academic discourse.
- Publications: Contribute scientific articles and papers to journals and proceedings of international and national conferences.
- Collaborative Ventures: Work with training institutions, research organizations, and domestic and foreign companies to execute scientific projects, provide services, and facilitate technology transfer.
- Educational Resources: Author textbooks, lecture materials, and books/chapters for monographs in natural sciences, technology, biomedicine, public health, and other applied disciplines.
- Student Research Support: Guide and supervise students in their scientific research endeavors.
