Nguyễn Đức Chinh, a master’s student in the Computer Engineering program at International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, won the Outstanding Presentation Award at the 11th IEEE Symposium on Industrial Electronics & Applications (ISIEA2024). His presentation, titled “RHM: Novel Graph Convolutional Based on Non-Local Network for SQL Injection Identification,” garnered significant attention from the scientists attending the conference.

Nguyễn Đức Chinh’s presentation introduced proposed models for detecting SQL injection attacks by utilizing a non-local neural network combined with graph convolution. The report detailed the process of transforming SQL queries into graph structures and the application of this model in detecting security vulnerabilities. Experimental results demonstrated that the group’s model achieved higher accuracy compared to the latest approaches. The discussion session received significant interest and positive feedback from the researchers attending the conference.

The 11th IEEE Symposium on Industrial Electronics & Applications was held in Malaysia from July 6-7, 2024. The symposium featured multiple sessions covering a wide range of topics related to industrial electronics and applications.
