On March 26th, 2024, the International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) hosted a meeting with the University of Granada, Spain (UG).

From UG, Prof. Daniel Arias Aranda and Dr. Edyta Waluch de la Torre joined the meeting with representatives from VNU-IS including Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, Vice-Rector; Dr. Nguyen Van Hai, Deputy Head, Office of Research and Partnership Development; and Dr. Tran Duc Quynh, Head, Office of Academic Affairs.

At the meeting, the representative of the International School introduced to partners the educational, training and scientific research activities of the International School in particular and VNU in general. Prof. Daniel Arias Aranda also introduced the University of Granada with its academic and research strengths and some research projects that both sides may be interested in and cooperate with in the future. Then, representatives of both sides discussed the cooperation between VNU-IS and UG. They considered the possibility of developing joint academic and research programs, student/faculty exchanges, visiting scholar program, co-supervision of doctoral dissertations, international conferences, seminars, and other programs of mutual interest. The participants also mentioned about scholarship programs for VNU-IS students/faculty including Erasmus Plus learning and teaching mobilities.

The meeting between UG and VNU-IS marked the first step of collaboration between the two institutions and opened up a wide range of opportunities for future cooperation.
